Little world is a feature film concept that I worked on on my own for my bachelor project. I chose to do this project to professionalize my character design skills, specifically for a 3D animated film production.
The story and concept is made and written by me. It is about little people, the size of your hand, and it takes place in Norway, specifically at Borrehaugene in Horten, a place with rich viking history. The designs therefore take a lot of inspiration from Norwegian and viking culture.
I’m hoping to one day take this project further. Perhaps directing the film myself or selling the idea to a studio.
Short synopsis;
Ever since the vikings settled in Norway, little people have been living among us. You haven't seen them, because in order to stay safe, they have to hide underground to not be stepped on or taken by a bigger animal.
In this story we meet Vilje, a little girl who is tired of hiding underground. She wants to be outside, as high up as possible! In fact, she dreams of being able to fly. Her whole world changes when she rescues Mølle, a creature who can fly, but is afraid to. This unlikely friendship has to work together to face their fears and survive the challenges that come along with being small.
